When the Guttenberg press was introduced, some Scribes considered it the end of their careers.

However, others viewed it as a new opportunity to achieve more.

To them, the printing press was “a step in the ascent of man” as Bronowski describes new discoveries.

Years later in the 1800s, many people employed in the horse-related industries, as stable hands, carriage drivers, or farriers feared the same fate when the automobile was introduced.

However, others saw the opportunity in being mechanics and owning gas stations.

For those who navigated change easily and continue to do so even today, we ask;

What fundamental shifts did they have to make to adapt easily to the new disruption in their work?

Modern productivity means that we should also easily navigate the anxiety associated with the uncertainty of our environments.
